Welcome to Eurosla 24 in York

We are very pleased to announce that the Centre for Language Learning Research at the Department of Education, University of York will host EUROSLA 24, the 24th Annual Conference of the European Second Language Association. The conference will be held between 4-6 September, 2014, and will be preceded by the Doctoral Workshops and the Language Learning roundtable on 3 September. Four plenary speakers have been invited: François Grosjean (University of Neuchâtel), Leah Roberts (University of York), Natasha Tokowicz (University of Pittsburgh) and Sharon Unsworth (Radboud University Nijmegen).

The Language Learning roundtable will be on the topic of ‘Language learning theory and practice - Bridging the gap’ (convener Leah Roberts). Invited speakers are Laura Collins (Concordia University), Emma Marsden (University of York), Gabriele Pallotti (University of Modena and Reggio Emilia) and Lee Osterhout (University of Washington).

You are kindly invited to submit proposals for papers, posters, thematic colloquia and doctoral workshops on all areas of second language acquisition research. The deadline for submission of abstracts is 28th February 2014.
