Design a EuroSLA logo!

As you may have noticed, the European Second Language Association (EuroSLA) website has recently been given a thorough facelift – you can see for yourself at www.eurosla.org. With this new look we think we should also have a new logo.
We are therefore pleased to announce a competition for the design of a new logo, to match the website and to be used in our official correspondence. The winning logo will become the official logo of EuroSLA. The prize for the winner will be free attendance at the annual EuroSLA conference 2015 (Aix-en-Provence) or 2016 (Jyväskylä) and conference dinner.
The European Second Language Assiciation is a society for scholars and students interested in second language research. The logo should communicate the association’s academic and educational focus on learning foreign or additional languages. Any logo style will be considered (e.g. pictorial, abstract, letterform, woodmark, emblems, characters), but please do keep in mind that it should a) match the style of the new website and b) be usable in both color and black-and-white. The logo will be used for the Association’s website, publications, awards and promotional material.
Entries should be submitted by email as a pdf document to Monika Schmid (mschmid@essex.ac.uk) by 31 May 2015.
