EuroSLA Early Career Webinar on Post-PhD Opportunities (Feb 24)

We are holding our next free social webinar for Early Career Researchers on February 24, 2022 at 1000-1130 UK time (click link to convert to your local time) on the topic of ‘What comes next after a PhD?

This will be a chance for ECRs (which includes, of course, post-grad students) to catch up with each other, make some new connections with other SLA researchers at a similar stage. We’ll have some interviews with recent PhD graduates about their journey to employment. We’ll also have some tips and tricks from EuroSLA committee members and other experienced SLA figures about looking for postdoc roles and good ways to build up a range of professional and academic career options.

We are hoping to make this as accessible as possible for our ECRs by keeping it online, free, and at a timeslot that hopefully works for as many as possible.  We encourage any member who considers themselves to be an ECR to attend, and for more experienced researchers to share this call with early career SLA researchers who may not already be connected to our EuroSLA family to try to rope them in!

The zoom link is below. Please register here ( so we have a rough idea how many to expect.

We look forward to seeing everyone soon – ECRs at this webinar and others to come, and everyone together in our next EuroSLA conference in Birmingham in August.
